Hotels at Frankfurt Airport (Terminal-Connected)

Hilton Frankfurt Airport & Hilton Garden Inn

Both Hilton properties sit inside The Squaire, the long glass building constructed directly above the airport's railway stations, and are linked to Terminal 1 by an indoor covered walkway of only a few minutes on foot. The Hilton Frankfurt Airport is the full-service, upscale option, with an executive lounge, spa and fitness centre, several restaurants and extensive meeting space — a favourite with business travellers attending nearby trade fairs. The Hilton Garden Inn Frankfurt Airport shares the same building and the same walkway access but is a simpler, more affordable sister hotel with compact rooms and a 24-hour pantry shop.

Sheraton Frankfurt Airport Hotel & Conference Center

The Sheraton is joined to Terminal 1 by its own covered walkway, making it just as quick to reach as the Hiltons. It is a large conference hotel with well-soundproofed rooms, multiple restaurants and bars, and a fitness centre — a dependable choice for an early departure or a late arrival when you simply want to fall into bed a few minutes after leaving the gate. Rates are typically around €140–220, again rising during Messe Frankfurt trade fairs.

My Cloud Transit Hotel (Airside, Terminal 1)

My Cloud is different from the other three: it sits airside, inside the non-Schengen transit zone of Terminal 1 near gate Z25, so you check in with only your passport and boarding pass — no need to clear immigration or collect luggage. That makes it the natural choice on a long international layover, when you are transiting between two non-Schengen flights and do not want to (or cannot) re-enter Germany. To use it you need a boarding pass for a flight touching a non-Schengen destination; rooms are compact but private, each with its own shower, and can be booked for a full night or a shorter day-use rest.

Why Stay On-Site Instead of Nearby?

An on-site, terminal-connected hotel is worth the higher rate whenever the connection itself is the point: a very early Terminal 1 departure, a delayed late-night landing, a tight overnight layover, or simply not wanting to manage a shuttle bus or taxi while jet-lagged and carrying luggage. You walk from the check-in desk to airport security in minutes, and the Hilton/Sheraton complex sits right above the railway stations too, so continuing into town the next morning is just as easy.
