Are There Lounges at Frankfurt Airport?
Yes. As Lufthansa's largest hub and one of Europe's biggest airports, Frankfurt Airport (FRA) has an exceptional choice of lounges — from dozens of Lufthansa lounges across Terminal 1 to the legendary Lufthansa First Class Terminal, airline lounges in Terminal 3, and independent pay-per-use lounges that are open to everyone.
How you get in depends on the lounge. Airline lounges are tied to your cabin class and frequent-flyer status, while independent lounges can be entered by paying at the door or with a membership such as Priority Pass. Lufthansa Lounges in Terminal 1
Lufthansa operates a large network of lounges throughout Terminal 1, spread across concourses A, B and Z on both the Schengen and non-Schengen sides. They come in three tiers, and access is by cabin class or Miles & More / Star Alliance status rather than by paying at the door.
Business Lounges
Lufthansa Business Lounges are open to passengers travelling in Business Class and to Star Alliance Gold members flying that day. They offer seating, buffets, drinks, Wi-Fi, workspaces and flight information — a comfortable place to wait before most Lufthansa and Star Alliance flights.
Senator Lounges
Senator Lounges are a step up, reserved for Star Alliance Gold, Miles & More Senator and HON Circle members. Expect quieter spaces, a wider food and drink selection and, in some, shower facilities.
First Class Lounges & Welcome Lounge
Lufthansa First Class Lounges (for example in Pier A and Pier B) serve First Class passengers and HON Circle members, with à la carte dining and premium service. Arriving intercontinental premium passengers can also use the Lufthansa Welcome Lounge behind baggage reclaim in the arrivals area, with showers to freshen up after a long flight.
The Lufthansa First Class Terminal
Frankfurt is home to the Lufthansa First Class Terminal (FCT), a separate building beside Terminal 1 and one of the most exclusive facilities in world aviation. It is reserved for passengers flying First Class that day on Lufthansa, SWISS or Discover Airlines, and for Lufthansa HON Circle members.
Guests get valet parking, private check-in, their own security and passport control, an à la carte restaurant, a bar, a cigar lounge, bathrooms with tubs and quiet rooms, and a personal assistant. A chauffeur then drives them across the apron directly to the aircraft. Access cannot be bought — it comes only with a First Class ticket or HON Circle status.
Pay-Per-Use & Priority Pass Lounges
If you are flying in economy or on an airline without its own lounge, Frankfurt has independent lounges you can enter regardless of class or airline — either by paying at the door or with a lounge membership.
LuxxLounge (Terminal 1)
The LuxxLounge is an independent lounge in Terminal 1, between areas B and C on the gallery level, open daily from roughly 06:30 to 21:30. It offers seating, hot and cold food, drinks, Wi-Fi and workspaces. Walk-up entry costs around €39 for up to three hours, or about €50 for a day pass, and it accepts Priority Pass, LoungeKey and similar memberships.
Priority Lounge
Fraport's own Priority Lounge is a pay-per-use lounge in the non-Schengen area, with a location in Terminal 1 and one in Terminal 3. It welcomes walk-up guests for an entry fee of roughly €35–45 as well as Priority Pass holders, and offers the usual seating, refreshments and Wi-Fi.
Lounges in Terminal 3
The new Terminal 3 has its own lounges for the airlines that now operate there. These include a SkyTeam Lounge for SkyTeam premium passengers and eligible members, and an Emirates Lounge for Emirates First and Business Class travellers, with further airline lounges planned. A pay-per-use Priority Lounge also serves Terminal 3.
